📍 Location: Lerwick, Shetland
Hours: Part time and Full time available. Flexible working preferred

Morning + late shifts available 

Experience: Some kitchen know-how (whether that’s at work or home)

Island Larder is growing, and we need an extra pair of hands in the kitchen! No need for fancy chef training, just a positive attitude, a love for making Shetlands finest sweet treats and the ability to clean up after yourself

Job Role:

BAKERY FRONT OF HOUSE

Location: Lerwick, Shetland
Hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Island Larder is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Barista & Baker to join our small, dedicated team. Based in our busy peerie shop in Lerwick, this is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of our daily operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Baking cookies and preparing other sweet treats
• Making hot drinks & coffee 
• Greeting and serving customers with warmth and professionalism 
• Scooping ice cream and keeping displays tidy and appealing
• Opening and closing the shop
• Maintaining a clean, organised workspace and following hygiene procedures
• Supporting the team wherever needed

What We’re Looking For:

• A friendly, polite individual who enjoys working with the public
• Someone who uses their initiative and works well under pressure
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive team player with a can-do attitude
• Experience in a kitchen, café or retail setting is a bonus, but full training will be provided
