Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions relates to the business transaction between us, Island Larder and you, the customer.

Our Contract

When you place an order with us it will be deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions. If you are unhappy with any part of these terms and conditions, you should contact us before placing an order.

By placing an order through our website you are making a contract with us to purchase the goods outlined in your order.

When you place an order, we will require your name, email address, phone and address details. This information is required in order to process your request or inform you of acceptance of our order. A contact phone number is needed so that we can get in touch if there is a problem with your order.

After placing your order we will provide you with confirmation that your order has been received, this is not confirmation that your offer to buy the items has been accepted. Our contract for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and dispatched to you.

Island Larder reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any point.

Please note that we will not be able to meet any obligations as a result of the following reasons:

Should there be an issue with your order we will contact you either by phone or email.

In the unlikely event that a parcel arrives damaged or faulty please contact us by email - sales@islandlarder.co.uk - or phone 01595 694324, Wednesday to Saturday 9am to 5pm, so we can arrange a replacement, exchange, or refund for you.

Please ensure that you check all items on receipt, as faulty or damaged items must be reported within seven working days of receiving the parcel.

Please note that we never use any artificial preservatives or additives in our Fudge,  Nips, Tablet & Puffin Poo. Our only natural preservatives are sugar and alcohol, therefore any non-alcoholic items will only have a 2 month shelf life from date of manufacturing. Puffin Poo - 8 months. Nips - 4 Months. Mallow 3 Months.

Allergy Information: Our products may not be suitable for people with allergies. All of our foods are packed in the same place, so cross-contamination between any of our ingredients is possible. Our products may contain traces of gluten, eggs, peanuts, soya, milk, nuts and sesame. Please see base

Prices and Payment

All prices are in sterling and include UK VAT at the prevailing rate where necessary. VAT is only applicable to countries within the European Union. Our VAT registration number is 186460974.

All payments are secure and carried out for us by SagePay. Island Larder does not retain, store or have access to any of your credit details.

Returns Policy

Any product may be returned within seven working days of delivery to Island Larder, Esplanade, Lerwick, Shetland, ZE1 0LL. The product you return must be in new, unused condition.

The cost of returning the goods is at your expense. This does not affect your statutory rights. We recommend using registered post and retaining the proof of postage as we may require signed proof of delivery. We are not responsible for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit.

All returned products will be credited to the original purchaser’s account.

Please note that products in pictures of any bundles and hampers including Mallow Madness may vairy. The photo is there for visual purposes of what may be included but these may change. 

Cancelling an order

If you wish to cancel your order and return it to us you must let us know within seven working days of receiving your parcel. This can be done by calling us on 01595 694324 or by email at sales@islandlarder.co.uk. You will then need to return the whole order to us, at your own expense to us if you have already received it. Once we receive the whole order back we will issue a full refund including the original delivery charges paid.

Privacy

When orders are placed with us, we need to ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, and phone number. A contact telephone number or email address allows us to contact you should there be a problem with your order. All this information is required to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.

This information will be held on our database and will be kept secure. The information will not be not be made available for sale, and shall not be shared with third parties except where, you have consented or there is a legal requirement to do so.

The web server also automatically collects standard information such as a user's IP address, browser type, operating system, access times, etc. Like many websites we use cookies.

Cookies are small electronic files which are placed on a user's hard drive to identify a user. You can check your 'Cookie' file and delete those you do not want. You can also disable Cookies in your web browser so your computer will not receive them. The information received is used to monitor the volume, type and pattern of traffic using the Website. They are also used to track the contents of your shopping cart if you choose to purchase documents. Any such information held by us will not be disclosed to a third party.
