Cinnamon is one of the most widely used spices and its warm sweet aromatic flavour is an essential part of South Asian and Indonesian cooking. Use a 5 inch piece in vegetable, fish or cereal dishes. It can also be used to flavour puddings or other milk based dishes. The sticks are perfect for use in cooking as well as for an assortment of Christmas crafts. Make a wintery fragrant potpourri mix together with dried peel of oranges and/or lemons, cloves, allspice and bay leaves (you can even decorate a nice jam jar and give it as a gift). Or use them to make a nice mulled drink.
